Perfect Website Design – Part 1


Welcome to the first part of this blog in which we look at several of the most important elements when it comes to perfect web design. Without question the most successful websites nearly always have a great or perhaps even perfect web design. During the course of this blog post we will identify some of the most common components that go together to add up to a successful website.

Why is it Important?

Sadly, there are so many websites nowadays that you could easily believe that the web is overcrowded with sites trying to grab your attention. One of the most important aspects is to stand out from the crowd. If you aren’t able to do this, you will most certainly fail, or at least your website will. The reality is, when somebody visit your website, they make a split-second decision as to whether or not they’re going to hang around. There is way too much competition for you to get it wrong.

Keep it Simple!

Given that people are very busy and have the ability to hop around from side to site it’s important to make it easy for people to find the information they looking for. If your message isn’t clear, then you will fail your website visitors. Here are a few of the most important things to consider:

  • Make it obvious your visitor needs to do
  • Make sure your contact details are easily accessible
  • Give them the information that they looking for
  • Never try to be overly smart
  • Talk in the language that your user expects

Providing Clear Information

Remember, a great many visitors will be on your site for the very first time. If you don’t make it easy for them to find the information they want, can you really expect them to hang around?

Avoid long paragraphs of text, it isn’t good for the reader. When possible, use subheadings and also break up paragraphs with the use of images or even non-text-based content. Think about what action you want your website visitor to do. Do you want them to call you? Do you want them to email you? Do you want them to purchase something online? When you decide on the main goal of the website, make it simple for these new users to achieve that goal.

Building Trust

You could easily say that one of the important factors is to build as much trust as possible between your website and its new visitor. If you are able to do this, it’s likely your visitors will stick around and make an inquiry, perhaps they might even purchase something! Never mind ridiculous claims about your product that would stretch your credibility. Keep things as simple and as genuine as possible.
